Recent Innovations Allow for Better Home Security
Technology advances in home security industry include alarm systems and fire alarms
Though computer security steals focus from home security on occasion (as discussed in an earlier post), technology has contributed a great deal to our safety and that of our property. Several recent innovations enable us to better cope with various threats to our home security.
Among these innovations are highly intelligent wireless alarm systems, whose range of detection can reach up to 35 feet. Not only capable of providing earlier warnings, these alarms are also programmed to differentiate potential threats from random nuisances (blown leaves, stray animals, etc.).
Sophisticated fire alarms, which detect heat instead of smoke, also deserve inclusion in the latest list of helpful innovations. Due to their sensitivity, these alarms allow for more accurate detections and quicker evacuations.
State-of-the-art smart lights are likewise worthy of our praise and recognition. The most advanced of these lights can turn on and off at set time intervals to convince would-be criminals that their owner's house is occupied, and can even memorize their owner's lighting patterns and adhere to them when the house remains empty for an extended period of time.
The security industry expects more of these innovations to be developed within the next few years.
